Mabolo Christian Academy started in 1997, founded by a man of faith respectfully named Rev. Federico Cortes Jr. His desire is not to earn for living but to build a small school for children to help them grow spiritually and academically. He saw the brightness of God’s will that someday the number of professionals of Christ-like characters will grow more and more to accomplish one goal: to shine for Jesus. So, with the help of his faithful and beautiful wife named Mrs. Evangeline Cortes, he built a small school for pre-elementary course. Together with his belief that a church should have a school, they started with 18 students as Mrs. Cortes as the only teacher. Their attempts in establishing a small school, spending their only 3000 pesos to open, is to teach the children to grow and shape spiritually, and to produce more godly professionals someday. Years passed when those students graduated, Mr. and Mrs. Cortes opened the elementary course in their small school. The number of students spontaneously grew and grew without their expectations. They hired loyal teachers to help Mrs. Cortes handle the students. There were times that Mrs. Cortes was worried for the upcoming financial needs (school expenses, bills, salary, and etc.), but they didn’t lose hope. Later, they opened the highschool course. More teachers, workers, faculties and staff were added to the MCA family. They handled the students with a few number. Now, they handled more than 400 students who are spiritually and academically successful. The school is blessed for being established with the goal, to serve the Lord. Their faith grew stronger throughout those obstacles. God never gets tired of helping them even when they feel losing hope. Through life’s ups and downs, they never forget to bless others through sharing the Word of God to others. They think the students life after graduating facing the reality of the world. Throughout these years, Mabolo Christian Academy never fails to raise godly professional students. Some students who graduated became successful. They graduated with honors in college. MCA never failed to because God never fails in His plans. The journey of Mabolo Christian Academy continues as they produce brighter future through God’s will and all because of a man who is happy in serving the Lord!
